Donate Your Old Hearing Aids for the Season of Giving
Posted by Armstrong Hearing Aid Center on November 15, 2013
The official holiday buying season kicks off as we approach Thanksgiving and Black Friday. While we tend to focus on purchasing gifts for our loved ones, it is also a time to help others in need. Some people donate used bikes, children’s toys or cooking utensils, but this year there’s a great opportunity to donate your hearing aids as well!
We take donated hearing aids and send them to our partner, the Starkey Hearing Foundation, where they are distributed for free to thousands of individuals in need of hearing care around the U.S. and globe. You can donate any make or model regardless of age, all donations are tax deductible* and you receive a thank you letter acknowledging your gift to the hearing impairing. The hearing aid recycling program is open to anyone, and we welcome your donation regardless if you are our patient.
We diligently work with our patients to upgrade hearing aid technology to best accommodate hearing needs over time. If you’ve received the gift of hearing and recognize how greatly it’s changed your life, consider donating your old hearing aids to the Foundation for this season of giving. For more information visit the Starkey Foundation website or simply submit your information on our Contact Us page and we will reach out to you.
